Collection details
Oral history is an essential tool for preserving and sharing the history of Iowa State and the people who continue to contribute to that history. It empowers those whose history has not been recorded in the past to tell their history in their own words, to learn about their communities, and to share them with others.
SCUA invites members of the Iowa State community to learn the practice of oral history and conduct oral history interviews to document the history of those they want to learn from and the organizations and communities they are a part of. If you are interested in working with Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) to conduct an oral history project on campus, view our Oral History Toolkit and contact us.
