We invite you to celebrate your history, share your students' work with our collections, or highlight the stories that mean the most to you on campus by collaborating with us on an exhibit. SCUA welcomes exhibition proposals from students, staff, faculty, and organizations.

How to create an exhibition

As a part of our mission, Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) hosts and curates exhibitions celebrating all members and facets of the Iowa State University community and its major research areas. To further this mission, we seek your unique input from what you're interested in and involved with on campus to bring new perspectives to our collections and tell untold stories.

Exhibitions should highlight materials in SCUA's collections, materials to be donated/transferred to SCUA, or the product of course-related instruction conducted by SCUA staff.

Review the Collaborative Exhibitions Policy or contact us at least one semester before the proposed exhibition to learn more.

I have greatly enjoyed collaborating with SCUA. The students learn so much from being able to see and touch historical examples from the archives. They always love this experience, and talk about how much they enjoyed the collaboration, even years after the class is complete!
