Special Collections and University Archives (SCUA) has archived websites since 2007. The Web Archives preserve interactive versions of outdated web pages related to our primary collecting areas. Our current holdings contain more than seven terabytes of archived websites produced by Iowa State University and related to our manuscript collections.
Collection highlights
- Iowa State University Records: This collection of archived web pages includes websites produced by the university, focusing on the "iastate.edu" domain and related subdomains as well as other ISU-affiliate websites.
- ISU Special Collections Department Manuscript Collections Web Sites: This collection of archived web pages includes websites primarily produced by organizations not affiliated with the university whose records SCUA actively collects.

Search by using keywords in the text of the page.
If you are interested in finding content from a specific date, you can search for pages by the content creation date. However, often, the date associated with an archived webpage will be the date it was archived.
Audiovisual content may sometimes appear as a “Videos” link on the ribbon at the top of the page.
Web archives cannot reliably preserve some functions, such as calendars or maps. In such cases, please search CARDinal for related collections.
